I’m sitting with the way you framed the victim mindset. Not in the shame sense. More like the subtle exhaustion that slowly turns into “what difference can I make.” I’ve felt that heaviness while scrolling through all the noise around us. It sneaks in. It has a way of making ordinary days feel thinner.
Your piece didn’t dismiss that heaviness. It treated it like something human, something we can acknowledge without bowing to it. That approach helped me exhale. It reminded me that clarity often arrives in ordinary moments if I’m willing to actually feel what’s here instead of numbing it.
Man, you are such a good commentator. I had to read this 4 times. So glad this piece helped you exhale, and yes to all the reminders we can get for finding clarity and sanity whenever we can.
Thanks for the book rec! Needed to read this today. I am sometimes lost in my isolation and perception, in (trying to) moving forward. Sometimes feels like a black hole.
The thing about stepping fully into our power is we have to surrender all the old patterns that fed the Ego to maintain control by solving the problems it created.
The work you do is not who you are. I can relate because I do the construction stuff too.
But let’s take p&m. It’s a drug. It releases dopamine and oxytocin.
We feel empty and so we seek outwardly. We use and feel remorse. Then we use again to feel better. It’s a vicious cycle.
The only true healing comes from the level of our Soul which is who and what we are… by surrendering the Ego to God and becoming a vessel for Divinity.
In essence, we choose Soul.
That’s when the Authentic True Self manifests, but it’s a process.
It’s not a one and done.
And, we are constantly tested and tempted. The Creator doesn’t want a part of you when you’re on your best any given Sunday. It wants ALL of you in your entirety.
It must be a conscious choice to choose Soul over Ego.
The lower chakric energies keep us in the same old maladaptive material patterns seeking outwardly.
But the energy can be transmuted, not through Egoic will but through Soulful devotion. ✨
Happy to work with you on this if it avails itself man. There is Soul strategy to the work as I’ve discovered and it can’t be don’t without fully Knowing Thyself.
I appreciate the mention and your generous support, as always, my friend. 🙏🏻 🙌🏼

P.S. It sounds like you’re ready to break the old and make the new. Krishnamurti dissolved the Order of the Star of the East in a move that shattered the old. It was beyond symbolic — it’s metaphysical.
Your comment describes my last 8 month process to a T. Dropping the old ego controlled slave self via Soulful devotion. Never thought I could change to where I am now, and I'm so grateful for the wisdom and support make the journey, even though I know there is a long road ahead. Great comment, really appreciate it.

I know the feeling Shelley, glad it resonated with you and hopefully we can keep from going down that seductive black hole too deeply...
Beautiful share, Christof. ❤️🔥
I appreciate your vulnerability.

A rite of self-initiation.
I wish you way more than luck. 🍀 💚

Hearing that puts a smile on my face, man. Truly, it does.
