It is my humble opinion that the number one reason people do not change is a lack of kindness to themselves.
So often we get inspired and motivated to create a project, start an exercise regimen, lose weight, or whatever the case may be. After a few days of success, we inevitably revert back to old behaviors and habits.
This is where many of us call in the heavy hitters of self-flagellation. We often beat the crap out of ourselves for not being perfect.
Today I expound upon the virtue of "failing forward", where we instead give ourselves love and compassion, understanding that learning is by its nature, a series of many many failures.
If we're failing, we're basically on the right track.
There's so much potential to grow into the higher versions of ourselves, to grow into the higher potentials of our collective society and species, but it gets thwarted with criticism, self-blame, harshing on our attempts to improve.
Failing forward is a crucial tool to ensure the transformation we seek in ourselves and as a community of amazing Earthlings.
And as always, your comments and likes do wonders for the growth of Miracle Soup.
In gratitude,
Christoph
